Alpacalypse is inspired by the textile history of Saltaire, Salt beer factory's hometown.

The textile history of Saltaire has always been at the centre of SALT Beer Factory, with all products linking back to this to form the basis of SALTs’ purpose ’Cut from a Different Cloth’. In the mid-1800’s Alpaca wool was re-introduced to the UK by the founder of Saltaire. With a resourceful attitude, he utilized his unique skill weaving Donskoi Sheep Wool to persevere with a material most saw as too challenging (kinda like craft beer).

This inspired our uniquely horned Alpaca character, representing commitment to craftmanship and innovation. By nature, Alpacas have a calm temperament with a fire-resistant coat. Some would say because of this, are a symbol of calm among the chaos.

Crafted to appeal to lager drinkers, Alpacalypse uses American hops to create a crushable, lightly hazy pale ale. With a citrus aroma & subtle tropical flavour this IPA delivers a light & refreshing finish.
