Audley Cricket Club is overflowing with gratitude this week following the resounding success of its annual Beer Festival, which concluded on Saturday 5th April evening. While the fantastic selection of ales, ciders, and the lively atmosphere undoubtedly played their part, the club is unanimous in its praise for the incredible team of volunteers who poured their heart and soul into making the event arguably the best in its history.

From the initial planning stages to the final clean-up, a dedicated army of individuals generously donated their time and energy, ensuring the smooth and enjoyable running of the festival for the hundreds of attendees who flocked to the club grounds.

"We are absolutely blown away by the dedication and hard work of our volunteers," said David Titley, Club Treasurer. "This year's Beer Festival was a tremendous success, and that is entirely down to the tireless efforts of these amazing people. We've had so many positive comments from attendees and I would argue it is the best one yet in many aspects, and that's a direct reflection of the volunteers' commitment. The money raised is crucial, of course, but the spirit and camaraderie demonstrated by our volunteers are just as important. They are the backbone of this club, and we are incredibly lucky to have them."

The volunteer team tackled a diverse range of tasks, from setting up the additional bar area, to serving drinks with a smile, keeping the grounds & clubhouse tidy, and ensuring everyone had a safe and enjoyable experience. Many volunteers dedicated countless hours throughout the week, often juggling their commitments with their contributions to the festival.

It's truly inspiring to see so many people come together for the love of the club and the community, we had volunteers of all ages and backgrounds, from 1st team players to parents of junior players and other members, all working together with such enthusiasm. Their positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile made all the difference.

The success of the festival will provide vital funds for Audley Cricket Club, supporting its ongoing activities, including junior development, ground maintenance, and ensuring the club remains a vibrant hub for the local community.
